I’m just reading some surprising facts about world languages.

Hmm, Interesting… What does it say?
There are actually over 7,000 spoken languages in the world today.
That’s according to Ethnologue, which is the most extensive catalog
of the world’s languages.

Over 7,000? I couldn’t believe it. That’s a lot of languages!
Me neither. At least we have English as the global language.

English is widely understood by people around the world, but it’s still worthwhile to learn another language, right?
I agree, Ron. In fact, I’m learning Japanese. I took a language elective
this semester at the university, and I chose Japanese.

Wow! How’s your language class so far?
Their writing system is challenging, but learning how to speak another
language is definitely fun.
