Decent work and child labor
Work is important to people as it provides them with financial security and access to basic needs. But unemployment is an ongoing problem all over the world. In 2017, the global unemployment rate was 5.6 percent, a decrease from 6.4 percent in 2000. Productive employment and decent work are necessary to reduce poverty. Decent work is, for example, an environment where income is fair, safe, and comfortable to work in, and there is no distinction or discrimination.
