Let’s read the dialogue. After that, we’ll switch roles.
PART B_2
May
Naomi, I’ve been wondering for a while now. Do you think our company has insurance?
Naomi
Not that I know of. Why?
May
A few weeks ago, I read an article about business security. There was a freight company that suffered heavy losses after one of its vehicles malfunctioned and got caught in a road accident.
Naomi
That’s a frightening thought. How much did the company lose?
May
If I recall correctly, it was about $3 million.
Naomi
That’s a huge amount for a single accident!
May
I agree, and it was unforeseen, too. So I just think that our company should take out insurance on its assets.
Naomi
I agree, especially since we work in a tech company. There’s a risk of fire breaking out.
May
That’s true. We may never know when a short circuit incident may happen, and it’s not only the equipment but the office itself.
Naomi
Yes, because external factors can cause damage to our company property, too. And I can see that insurance has a lot of benefits not only to our safety.
May
Oh, definitely. For instance, property insurance can safeguard us against financial losses, like what happened to the freight company.
Naomi
And the company doesn’t need to pay for any physical damages. Insurance providers can help businesses quickly recover from losses from what I know.
May
Businesses can easily file a claim for that. I hope our company has one or if not, at least consider it.
Naomi
Perhaps we can raise it in the next meeting.
