Electronics manufacturing supply chain risk prevention

Several key factors can threaten the supply chain of electronics manufacturing. One is natural disasters. From delivery pauses and delays to supply and demand inconsistency caused by natural calamities, they can induce a devastating effect on the supply chain. The true impact of natural disasters is generally unpredictable, which is why we must come up with plans to mitigate the risks. First, we must develop 1.) a disaster preparedness plan and 2.) a recovery process. These will provide detailed guidelines for everyone responsible for the shipment. Another course of action in risk reduction is maintaining consistent contact with the external suppliers. We have to ensure that the other party has robust procedures to analyze the risks, avoid possible problems during shipment, and moderate the consequences of unforeseen incidents.
