Margareth
Good afternoon, Ms. Gonzales. I hope you’re not busy right now.
Ms. Gonzales
It’s alright, please come in. So, are we here to discuss your transfer request?
Margareth
Thank you. And yes, Ms. Gonzales. I believe I’ve earned my stripes to request a transfer to the content editor-in-chief position.
Ms. Gonzales
Could you first tell me why you want that position?
Margareth
I’ve been eyeing that position for quite some time now. I think my career trajectory aligns more with it.
Ms. Gonzales
I’m glad you’re taking the initiative to level up your career. But let me first ask why you think you’re qualified for this position.
Margareth
For one, I think my three-year experience as a content writer makes the grade for this position.
Ms. Gonzales
Hmmm… Okay. But, how can that contribute to being an editor-in-chief?
Margareth
I can use the knowledge and experience that I have earned in the past three years to improve our content editing process. Also, being a former proofreader, I could make initiatives to help reduce our writers’ errors, such as facilitating grammar or writing workshops.
Ms. Gonzales
Right. Regarding your performance, tell me how you handle your current position as a content writer.
Margareth
Well, I always pull my weight in continuously improving our content. I also make sure to keep my creative juices flowing in order to provide input to our content strategy planning.
Ms. Gonzales
Very well, Margareth. Please give me till Wednesday to think this through. Thank you.
Margareth
Thank you so much.
