Part B_2 Passage reading
We like collecting things like a smartphone, a new pair of shoes, or fashionable clothes. We love them when we buy them. But soon, our living space becomes filled with too many things. What should we do? A lady has a solution.
She loved keeping her room neat and tidy from an early age. She worked as a tidying consultant in Japan after graduating from college. Then she traveled to the United States in 2014 to introduce her organizing method.

The most important principle of her method is this: “Keep things only if they make your heart flutter.” For example, take each book in your hands and ask if it “flutters your heart.” If so, keep it. If not, show your gratitude for the item before throwing it away. “You never read the book, but you still learned something from it. You learned that you didn’t need that book,” she explains.

The same method applies to all of your belongings. That’s how the process of tidying begins.
