Prom is one of the biggest events for high-school students in America. Senior prom is a formal dance party held in the last year of high school. Boys usually wear tuxedos and girls wear formal dresses or gowns. At the party, students dance to music played by a DJ or sometimes a live band. The common tradition of Prom is to pair up with your “date” as a couple. But some students attend Prom even without a date. Everyone is welcome at the party to celebrate high-school graduation. At the end of the Prom, a Prom Queen and Prom King are revealed by popular vote.
