One research said that the number of wild animals has decreased by about 60% in the last 50 years. According to them, animals that live near the water like rivers and lakes show a great decrement in population. They thought that it is related to how people use water. For example, building dams makes changes in the natural cycle. It also makes changes in the lives of the animals that live near the water. In the end, some animals cannot accept these changes and disappear from Earth.
On the other hand, the number of other animals has been decreased by hunting. African elephants are one of the victims of forbidden hunting because ivory is sold at a high price. In the same manner, sharks are also hunted for their fins.
They also said that it is true that the number of wild animals is decreasing but not all animals. It is a hint. We have to find a way to live well with them.
