In the Philippines, people are experiencing various environmental problems which are usually caused by human activities. The most common environmental problems are air and water pollution. However, the worst environmental problem in the Philippines these days is water pollution.

Water pollution is a serious environmental problem in the Philippines because it causes people and animals to get diseases from the water they drink or use. Also, in most parts of the Philippines, there is not enough clean water for everyone to use. Most rivers, lakes, and springs in the Philippines that used to have clean and safe water to drink, are already polluted because of the activities of people who live near them. These people usually throw their trash in these bodies of water without even thinking of what could happen in the future. One of the main reasons for this activity is the poor management of trash in some parts of the Philippines.

Nowadays, the government has been organizing programs to help solve the water pollution problem in the Philippines. Many pro-environment organizations are doing clean-up programs to encourage people to clean the polluted bodies of water. Most people in the Philippines are already managing their trash and they avoid just throwing them anywhere. Many people in the Philippines hope that water pollution will be solved so that it will not be experienced by future generations.
