I will give a presentation.
(Please read aloud the passage below.)

PART D_2

My presentation theme is ocean pollution. Every year, this issue is becoming more and more serious. Many sea animals have been dying because of eating ocean garbage which they thought is food.
In my presentation, I will mention the reason why I started my research, what information I collected, what I learned from them, and my prospect for the future.
A few months ago, I read an article on the internet about ocean pollution around the world. Before I read the article, I was aware that pollution in oceans exists but I did not know that it has been getting worse for decades now. Every day, an increasing number of animals in the ocean die because of pollution made by humans. For example, turtles eat plastic bags because they recognize the plastic bag as jellyfish. I have been a fan of scuba diving and I have seen the wonderful environment under the ocean. I think that is the reason why I am interested in the topic I read in the article. After that, I thought that something should be done to stop ocean pollution.
To get information, I decided to research through reading books and surfing the internet. I read that proper recycling is one of the best solutions to prevent ocean pollution. Nowadays, only 9% of plastic is recycled worldwide. That means we throw away 30 million plastics that are only used once. Used plastics that are not disposed of properly usually flows into the rivers and oceans.
After my research, I learned that recycling should be done correctly by separating waste. Also, recycling should be established as a habit for it to become more effective. Improving the rate of recycling leads to reducing the amount of plastic waste and saving sea animals.
These days, many countries have been making efforts to prevent ocean pollution by giving people some information about the bad effects of pollution and how to make proper recycling as a habit. In the UK, consumers must pay for a plastic bag when they need it. That is why they bring their own bags when they go shopping.
Some laws are also made to protect the oceans from pollution. By 2030, the EU will prohibit using plastic straws. In the future, everyone is looking forward to seeing the oceans around the world regain their beauty and free from pollution.
