PART B_2
Technology has made humans live more convenient over the past years. Many scientists invented a lot of useful things such as vehicles, mobile phones, medicines, and the likes. However, this has threatened the environment that leads to global warming.
According to Janine Benyus, an American scientist, humans must be able to find ways to sustain the environment. She believes that in order to do this, people should look for inspiration through nature. This method is called biomimicry which means life and imitation. An example of biomimicry is when scientists imitate the pattern of shark’s skin to create walls of hospitals. Shark’s skin is known for preventing bacteria from entering their bodies. Benyus believes that through biomimicry, people will be more aware of the environment.
As humans look at ways for innovations, they should not forget to consider if these would be nature-friendly. Remember that the Earth is their home and they should take care of it not just for themselves but also for future generations.
