Paul Piff, a man who wanted to know if rich and poor people think and act differently, did many experiments to understand society. One of them was a board game in which he favored the “rich” people over the “poor” people. Through a hidden camera, he observed that they became rude and less sensitive to the “poor” people’s situation. Piff said the game made him understand society more.

Through his experiments, he found out that as people get richer, their sense of advantage increases, but their kindness decreases. So, wealthier people are more likely to feel that having too many desires is good. Because of this, he was worried that everyone will not have the same opportunity to succeed.

Nowadays, not everyone experiences equal rights. However, researchers found out that small changes in people’s values can restore the level of people’s kindness. Also, more and more people are using their wealth to maintain equality and restore people’s faith that hard work can make their lives better.
