PART B_2
The way people see and understand an image may change dramatically even with a slight change. For example, imagine two lines that have the same length are both connected by an arrow-like shape. One of the lines has an opposite arrow-like shape, this would change people’s perception as it creates an illusion of a shorter line.
Changes in people’s perception occur when they change their conventional patterns on the way they think and analyze problems and situations. Changing their conventional pattern of thinking could actually be beneficial to them and to the people around them. A famous example of this is Henry Ford, an automobile businessman. He changed the thinking “bring people to work” to “bring work to people”. He accomplished his goals through assembly lines.
People are supposed to challenge their decision-making skills. They should not just base their decisions on assumptions. They do not always guarantee accuracy. In fact, judging a situation or solving a problem based on assumptions may result in several issues. That is why it is important for them to base their decisions on facts. For instance, you are an engineer and you are constructing bridges, houses, and buildings. As an engineer, you would not want your work to be poorly constructed. So, you make sure to use proper tools at all times because you knew that failure to do so could lead to bigger problems.
