Two Female Coaches Won Super Bowl, Will There Be More?
More women become coaches now, instructing and educating athletes on doing their jobs better. When Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida, won the National Football League (NFL) championship game recently, two women coaches became Super Bowl champions. Maral Javadifar, a strength and conditioning coach, urges players to practice so that they can keep in condition throughout the season. She also assists injured athletes in their rehabilitation. Lori Locust, in charge of the defensive line, guides players who are on the first line of defense against the opposing side. These two serve as assistant coaches for the Buccaneers’ head coach, Bruce Arians. When it comes to women and coaching, Arians believes that if you can teach, you can coach. And he thinks it is more than time for women to join the staff. The first female coach in the Super Bowl was Katie Sowers of the San Francisco 49ers, whose team lost to Kansas City in 2020.
