不定詞の形容詞的用法とは、不定詞(to do)を名詞の後において「~するための/~すべき」と言う意味で前の名詞を修飾できる用法です。
The adjectival use of the infinitive is when we use “to + verb” after a noun to explain more about it.
It shows meanings like “something to do” or “something to use.”
例文:
She bought a sandwich to eat at home.
「彼女は家で食べるためのサンドイッチを買いました。」
“Ellie needs someone to help her with her homework.”
「エリーは彼女の宿題を手伝ってくれる(ための)人が必要です。」
