The aim of sustainable production and consumption is to provide human’s basic needs without harming the environment. However, the process of production that utilizes raw materials, and energy have a negative impact on the environment. One of the environmental problems caused by this is water pollution. Water pollution has been a global problem for years now. In fact, only 3% of the world’s water is safe to drink. As a result, the government is encouraging manufacturers to produce products that will cause less damage to the environment.
