Nowadays, a lot of people from rural areas choose to move to urban areas. One of their main reasons is poverty. Most people from rural areas believe that cities, which are also called urban areas, can give them more opportunities. They take the risk of moving despite being unsure if there are job opportunities awaiting them.
According to a research, almost half of the world’s population is living in urban areas. The rising population in these areas has led to multiple problems. Because of this, the government implemented projects that will ensure people’s access to affordable housing and healthcare services. They have also invested in various programs that will improve public transportation in urban areas.
