In the United States, more children under the age of 19 were uninsured in 2020 than in 2018, raising the child poverty rate to 9.3 percent.

According to statistics, the United States could reduce the disease burden by up to one-third by 2040 by implementing actions such as weight control, quitting smoking, taking preventive generic medications, and having routine vaccines. A focus on prevention may also help people become more resilient to future pandemics.
