この教材では、仮定法の使い方について学びます。
仮定法は、「もし~だったら、……」という事実に反する仮想をもとに話す方法です。「If + 主語 + 動詞の過去形, 主語 + 助動詞の過去形 + 動詞の原形」という形で作ります。
ex. If I were a rich man, I would buy a house with a pool. もし私が金持ちなら、プール付きの家を買う。
ex. If I ran fast enough, I could catch up with that bike. もし十分に速く走れたら、あの自転車に追いつける。
ex. I wish I could fly. 空を飛べたらよかったのに。
