Let’s check our lesson goal. In this material, you will learn how to compare things using the comparative forms of adjectives.

この教材では、形容詞の比較級を使って物事を比べる方法を学びます。

GRAMMAR POINT

この教材では、比較級と最上級について学びます。

比較級は、ほとんどの1音節の形容詞には、語尾に-erを付けて作ります。2音節以上の形容詞では、形容詞の前に more を付けます。
最上級は、ほとんどの1音節の形容詞には、語尾に-estを付けて作ります。2音節以上の形容詞では、形容詞の前に most を付けます。

〇 I am older than Jack.　私はジャックより年上です。

〇 This movie is more interesting than that one.　この映画の方がそちらより面白いです。

× This movie is interestinger than that one.
