Rakugo is a traditional way of storytelling. One person is playing all the characters. People learn about Japanese culture and humor at the same time. This began during the Edo period. Performers of rakugo have passed down this tradition to different generations.

Kimie has performed rakugo in different countries, like France, the USA, and China. She has had a few problems during her shows. One of them is that because rakugo reflects Japanese culture, non-Japanese viewers may sometimes find it hard to follow the cultural sense of the story. Still, everyone enjoyed the show, and it was a good experience for her.
