Andy: Hello, Yuri! How are you?

Yuri: Hi, Andy! I’m good. How about you?

Andy: I’m good. I haven’t seen you since last week. How was your first day of school?

Yuri: It was fun! I was able to meet a lot of people in school. Filipino students are very fun to talk to that’s why I made new friends easily.

Andy: Wow! Nice to hear that. I am glad you’re enjoying your stay in the Philippines. How many are you in your class, by the way?

Yuri: Oh, we are 75 students in our class. That surprised me because in Japan there are only 30 students in my class. Anyway, in the Philippines, is it usual for students not to go to school on Saturdays?

Andy: Yes. Students in the Philippines do not go to school on Saturdays and Sundays. So, we usually do our homework on weekends. How about in Japan?

Yuri: In Japan, we usually go to school on Saturdays to attend school club activities. We are free on Sundays, so we can do other things on that day. I think I should go now. It’s time for my afternoon classes. See you around!
