I’ve been thinking about getting a new job. Do you think this is a good idea?
Is this a major career change? Or are you seeking better opportunities somewhere other than your current employer?

I’m not planning on a change of career at all. I love my job as an editor. It’s just that there is too much office politics going on. I find it hard to do my job in that kind of environment.
I can sympathize. I left my previous job for the same reasons. I suggest you go over your options carefully before you decide. You can also communicate the situation with your employer.
