I agree that teachers should not give students summer homework. I have several reasons for this.

Firstly, homework could take away students’ time for other activities. Doing summer homework eliminates time with family and friends. Students need to have time for leisure during their vacation.

Secondly, large amounts of summer homework may discourage students and prevent them from studying on their own.

So, I think teachers should not give students summer homework.

One reason is that summer homework can promote self-learning during a long break. If students do their summer homework outside of school days, they can develop the habit of studying on their own.

Another reason is that they can learn to manage their time properly. Learning to prioritize and organize in their free time is a good skill for the future.

So, I think teachers should give students summer homework.
