A Bryce Rollins retrospective will be shown from June 17 to September 15 at the Schulz Museum to celebrate the museum’s 35th anniversary.
Approximately 120 works, including paintings from the private collection of Ruth and Steve Whitman that have never been on public display, will be shown.
Since the early 1970s, Rollins—who possesses a unique brand of cynicism—has continued to release striking works that satirize the complications brought on by modernization.
The section that houses Schulz permanent collection of African art will be closed during the Rollins retrospective. It is scheduled to reopen on September 20.

Christy Kundst, a cake-making expert and owner of Christy’s Cakes on 10th Avenue, will teach this new spring offering. Learn the basics of cake making from how to choose ingredients and measure accurately to whipping up simple chiffon and sponge cakes.
Classes may be taken individually or as a series. To register, call (352) 112-3944 or download a registration form from the Community Center Web site and mail it to 948 Addo Street, Mephisto, AZ 85002. Please register by March 7 so we can assess enrollment and prepare for your participation.
Registration will be closed as soon as classes are filled to capacity.
