I was born and raised in the Philippines, where English is a second language. This enabled me to excel in English from kindergarten to college and even now as a working adult. For example, during high school, I was awarded Best in English Communication Arts in our class. During college, I participated in a tour guide competition at school where I presented international countries. I also became an English part-time tutor for a 4th-grade student who's a U.S. citizen.
