Hello! My name is Melquisidic Barbon Jr., but you may call me Milky for short. I am a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines with more than six years of experience in teaching English to junior and senior high school students. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, and I am currently serving as a public school teacher under the Department of Education.



As an English teacher, I have always been passionate about helping learners improve their communication skills and develop confidence in expressing themselves in English. Over the years, I have guided students in various areas such as grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation, writing, and public speaking. I also teach academic English, particularly in the field of research writing, where I mentor students in writing proposals, presenting their studies, and defending their work.



Teaching online excites me because it provides opportunities to meet learners from different backgrounds and cultures. I believe that learning English is not just about mastering grammar rules and vocabulary; it is also about using the language meaningfully in daily life. In my classes, I make sure to create a friendly and encouraging environment where learners feel comfortable practicing, making mistakes, and improving step by step.



My teaching style is student-centered. I adjust my lessons depending on the learner’s goals, level, and interests. For beginners, I focus on simple conversations, pronunciation practice, and confidence-building activities. For intermediate and advanced learners, I emphasize fluency, comprehension, and accuracy through engaging discussions, role-plays, and reading or writing exercises. I also use real-life examples, simple explanations, and interactive questions to make lessons practical and enjoyable.



I believe that patience, consistency, and practice are the keys to mastering English. That is why I always motivate my students to keep learning, even outside the classroom, through reading, listening, and speaking in English daily.



Aside from teaching, I enjoy reading books, writing articles, and exploring new things that help me improve both personally and professionally. I am also a vlogger who loves capturing beautiful sceneries and meaningful experiences. These interests allow me to share fresh and interesting ideas with my students during our lessons.
