Hi there! My name is Mikaela De Jesus, but you can call me Tutor Mika. your cheerful, energetic, and passionate English teacher! I’m so excited to welcome you to my class, where learning English is not just about grammar and vocabulary, but about fun, laughter, and real communication.



I’ve always believed that English isn’t just a subject we study, it’s a bridge that connects people from different countries, cultures, and dreams. That’s why, in every class I teach, I make sure my students not only learn but also enjoy every minute of the lesson. I bring energy, humor, and genuine encouragement into everything we do.



Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m currently studying Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, but teaching English has always been one of my biggest passions. I started my ESL journey as an English instructor and assessor at GNGN Eikaiwa, where I had the privilege of teaching students from Japan. That experience helped me grow tremendously as an educator, I learned how to connect with learners of different ages, levels, and personalities.



Every student has a unique way of learning, and I always make sure to adapt my teaching style to fit your needs. Some students like challenges, while others prefer a slow and gentle pace. Some want to focus on conversation, pronunciation, or grammar and that’s perfectly fine. In my class, you’re the star, and my role is to guide you, support you, and cheer for you every step of the way.



I also make sure that learning English feels like a real-life experience. Instead of memorizing words, we use them in fun situations ordering food, telling stories, expressing emotions, or even joking around. I believe the best way to learn a language is to actually use it, not just read about it.



Aside from teaching, I’m someone who loves creativity and expression. I enjoy music, art, and storytelling, and I often include those interests in my lessons. I also love giving motivational quotes and little bits of advice that inspire my learners to believe in themselves because confidence is just as important as vocabulary.
