I am Tutor Vena, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to guide you on your English learning journey. Teaching has always been my passion, and even during the times I stepped away from the classroom, I never stopped learning. I enrolled in graduate studies to further my knowledge in pedagogy, and although I was unable to finish my postgraduate degree due to a high-risk pregnancy when I had my first born, I never lost sight of my commitment to professional development. Along the way, I earned my TEFL certificate and completed the IELTS Speaking and Writing Specialized Program for teachers. Every experience I have had outside of teaching has shaped me into who I am today, broadening my understanding of life and helping me appreciate the uniqueness of every person I’ve met.

For the past two years (2023–2025), I have been teaching English to junior high school students. This role allowed me to combine my past experiences with new strategies that I’ve developed over time, giving my students the confidence to improve their speaking and communication skills. By day, I am a full-time English teacher devoted to my students’ growth, and by night, I am a hands-on mom to my lovely children—a role that has taught me patience, empathy, and the value of lifelong learning.

My professional journey has also been diverse and rewarding. From 2009 to 2014, I worked as the Office Manager of a Nursing Review Center, where I monitored students’ progress, identified their strengths and areas for improvement, and provided feedback during examination drills. I also communicated with parents and school deans to ensure students were on track with their goals. Later, from 2017 to 2018, I gained valuable experience as a Technical Support Representative in the BPO industry, assisting US-based clients with technical issues. This experience enhanced my English fluency and confidence through daily communication, allowing me to connect more effectively with learners today.

Now, I bring all these experiences into my classroom with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether you want to focus on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or free-flowing conversation, I am here to guide you. We can talk about books, movies, food, family, hobbies, or even life’s big questions—I am always eager to learn from you as much as you learn from me.
