Hunger is usually caused by natural disaster, such as floods or a severe drought that leaves people with neither water to drink nor crops to eat. Long dry seasons also result in the death of farm animals and fish that could provide food to reduce hunger.

This could be solved by educating people on how to increase and avoid wasting food.
