M I’d like to welcome you on behalf of the Fields Museum of Art. This is the curator’s guided tour, and I’m Nick Alsum, the curator of Fields. Today, I’ll be guiding you through the John Driscoll exhibit, which is being held to commemorate the museum’s thirtieth anniversary. Driscoll was a leading artist of the pop art movement, and this exhibit showcases some two hundred of his works, including paintings, drawings, silk screens and sculptures. The exhibit also includes Driscoll’s collection of antique toys, some of which were made in a workshop located in this town until the mid-twentieth century. Before we begin, I’d like to remind you that flash photography is not allowed.
