土地勘のない不慣れな地で移動するにはタクシーが何かと便利です。目的地を伝えてしまえばOK、経路や交通事情は運転手にお任せできます。道に迷う不安もありません。寄り道するなどの融通もききます。
海外でのタクシー利用にあたっては「行き先をしっかり伝えること」「料金を適正に支払うこと」の2点が重要です。これは世界中どこのタクシーでも変わりません。
行き先の指定は、施設名けでも地図を指すだけでも伝達可能です。他方、料金確認はそうはいきません。海外では、地域によっては《ぼったくり》が横行しています。請求された通りに支払うだけでなく、事前に確認して法外な請求を防ぐ、あるいはそもそも怪しいタクシーを避けると、いった意識が必要になってきます。

There must have been some mistake, and I would appreciate it if you could look into the matter and contact me as soon as possible.
