To: All employees
From: Human Resources
Date: November 5
Subject: No Overtime Day
This is a reminder that as of November 1, Wednesday of every week will be No Overtime Day. One day a week was designated for zero overtime as a measure for saving energy during the winter months. Everyone is requested to leave the office by 5 p.m. Exceptions must be approved by your supervisor and reported to Human Resources as soon as you realize you have to work overtime. If you have any questions regarding this new policy, contact Human Resources. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

WILL CALL BACK PLEASE CALL
MESSAGE: I’m feeling unwell and am going straight home after meeting with clients at 2:30. I think I’ll take tomorrow off as well, in which case I need you to call Mr. Lyle of Putnam Motors first thing in the morning to postpone his 1 1 :00 visit. Friday is the only day we can accommodate him, so please confirm whether he can make it; morning or afternoon, whichever suits him best. The estimate for Globe Electronics needs to go out first thing Wednesday morning. I’ll e-mail the draft to you as soon as I get home; I’d appreciate it if you could finalize it and e-mail it to them on Wednesday.
