Over the past years, humans have developed an advanced technology that helps study the galaxy and see what is beyond them.
Space exploration is the physical study of outer space. It answered questions about space and the Universe that were unknown before. The telescope was one of the first tools for space exploration. If people use a telescope, they can see distant objects clearly. It enables scientists to see what exists beyond Earth’s atmosphere. A few years later, they were able to send astronauts to space by using spacecraft to learn more about it.
Through space exploration, humans have developed advanced technology such as the GPS navigation system, accurate weather predictions, among others. If scientists did not take the risk of space exploration, humans would have never benefited from all of them.

PART D_1

I will give a presentation.
(Please read aloud the passage below.)

PART D_2

My presentation theme is ocean pollution. Every year, this issue is becoming more and more serious. Many sea animals have been dying because of eating ocean garbage which they thought is food.
In my presentation, I will mention the reason why I started my research, what information I collected, what I learned from them, and my prospect for the future.
A few months ago, I read an article on the internet about ocean pollution around the world. Before I read the article, I was aware that pollution in oceans exists but I did not know that it has been getting worse for decades now. Every day, an increasing number of animals in the ocean die because of pollution made by humans. For example, turtles eat plastic bags because they recognize the plastic bag as jellyfish. I have been a fan of scuba diving and I have seen the wonderful environment under the ocean. I think that is the reason why I am interested in the topic I read in the article. After that, I thought that something should be done to stop ocean pollution.
To get information, I decided to research through reading books and surfing the internet. I read that proper recycling is one of the best solutions to prevent ocean pollution. Nowadays, only 9% of plastic is recycled worldwide. That means we throw away 30 million plastics that are only used once. Used plastics that are not disposed of properly usually flows into the rivers and oceans.
After my research, I learned that recycling should be done correctly by separating waste. Also, recycling should be established as a habit for it to become more effective. Improving the rate of recycling leads to reducing the amount of plastic waste and saving sea animals.
These days, many countries have been making efforts to prevent ocean pollution by giving people some information about the bad effects of pollution and how to make proper recycling as a habit. In the UK, consumers must pay for a plastic bag when they need it. That is why they bring their own bags when they go shopping.
Some laws are also made to protect the oceans from pollution. By 2030, the EU will prohibit using plastic straws. In the future, everyone is looking forward to seeing the oceans around the world regain their beauty and free from pollution.

Nowadays, a lot of fashion companies have been selling cheap and trendy clothing. This is called the fast fashion industry.
The Industrial Revolution introduced new technology such as sewing machines that helped dressmaking become easier, quicker, and cheaper. A few years later, fast fashion had taken over the industry.
The fast fashion industry creates thousands of designs inspired by the latest trends. Its production is often offshore where labor cost is cheapest. Although fast fashion has become popular over the past years, it has a significant effect on the environment. The industry is the second largest polluter of clean water because of its use of cheap and toxic textile dyes. Polyester is one of the most popular fabrics. It comes from fossil fuels that contribute to global warming. It can also shed microfibers that add to the increasing levels of plastic in the oceans. Moreover, natural fabrics such as cotton contribute to the problem too. That is why environmental groups such as Greenpeace have been pressuring companies to eliminate the use of dangerous chemicals in their production.
