The $100,000 gift
When I was 12, my sister and I decided to give our parents a “thank you” gift for letting us walk around the amusement park on our own. We bought a ten-dollar ceramic salt and pepper shaker from a gift shop. In a horrifying instant, the gift fell out of my hands while I was holding it.

An adult park visitor advised us to take it back to the store. Surprisingly, the staff at the gift shop gave us a second one because the first one wasn’t properly wrapped.

Since that day, my family has spent more than $100,000 on admission, meals, and souvenirs for both ourselves and others. Institutions can and should have a heart on every level. We had a great day on the day the amusement park staff replaced the salt and pepper shaker, and a great one for that park, too!

PART B_2
A food bank is a philanthropic organization that works to reduce food waste. One of its activities is to provide food to those who cannot afford to eat enough. They collect food that are not available on the market despite their good quality due to substandard products or inadequate packaging. The organization distributes them to those in need. This activity benefits both those in need of food and companies, which can save costs by not throwing out food that will not be sold.
The idea of food banks was introduced by John van Hengel in the 1960s. He established the first food bank, St. Mary’s Food Bank. In its first year, it distributed 275,000 pounds of food to people in need. Their success spread quickly, and by 1977, food banks were established in 18 cities across the country.
Food bank can contribute to solving global problems such as hunger, poverty, health issues, and food waste. Let us work to create a society where everyone has enough food by being aware of what we can do on a daily basis. To ensure that food is distributed properly and without waste.

PART B_2
People frequently turn to biology for solutions when the human race is having difficulty. We refer to this copying of natural designs by humans as “biomimicry.” It is the practice of utilizing technology to assist us in doing tasks that come naturally to both plants and animals.
Many wonderful technologies have been created by copying shapes seen in nature. In order to reduce drag by a mass of 32%, humpback whales develop bumps around the edges of their fins. This can be used to design rotating blades such as turbines and propellers. The Shinkansen, a Japanese bullet train, is one of the most well-known examples of biomimicry. It is designed to resemble the structure of a kingfisher’s beak. When these trains were first introduced in the 1960s, their top speed was around 270 km/h.
More and more designers are looking to nature for answers to issues facing society today. By-products and waste could be eliminated if humans could design in the same way that nature does.

PART B_2
Animal shelters are facilities where protected animals, mostly cats and dogs, are taken in. Shelters accept animals that have been abandoned by their owners, have completed their breeding roles, or have lost their places for selfish human reasons. The animals are then treated and cared for in shelters, both mentally and physically. Animal shelters work on numerous projects with the government and medical institutes, and they match animals with foster families.
However, even with government subsidies, such shelters can face financial difficulties. They need to spend a lot of money on facility operations, sanitation, medical treatment and feed, and personnel costs. Furthermore, no matter how many foster homes are found, the same thing will happen again unless the number of animals to be protected is reduced.
There are over 3,500 animal shelters in the United States as of the year 2022. Every year, approximately 6.3 million domesticated animals are surrendered to shelters in the United States. Annually, there are approximately 4.1 million animals adopted from shelters.
Pets bring a lot of happiness and healing, but it is important to remember that they are just as precious as we are and to raise them responsibly.

Globalization refers to the strong ties and growing interdependence of countries. As a result of globalization, international trade has become more common, and economic and social shifts have been brought about. It is almost like a massive spider web that has expanded in size and scope throughout the years.
People, money, goods, and information have crossed through these connections in the modern era. They have also done so faster and in greater numbers than ever before. When did this phenomenon start? According to many scholars, it began in 1492 with Columbus’ voyage to the New World. People traveled to both nearby and distant locations before Columbus’ voyage, exchanging ideas, goods, and customs along the way.
Prior to 1870, the global trade market accounted for less than 10% of total output. At present, 25 percent of the world’s goods are exported and imported. International trade has grown at a faster rate than the economy over the last century. Globalization will be accelerated more in the future.
