I agree that books are more reliable sources than the Internet. I have several reasons for this.
First, the information is reviewed and checked before publication. This is to make sure that only high quality research is published.
Second, anyone can post on the Internet freely. It is very difficult to distinguish between correct and incorrect information.
So, I think it would be better to rely on books.

PART D_13
Now, we’ll read the sample answer. Please repeat after me.
PART D_14
I disagree that books are more reliable sources than the Internet.
One reason is that the information in books may be outdated. Updating old books takes time, and it costs a lot.
Another reason is that you can research a lot of information online at once. This leads you to avoid relying on a single source of information and to consider different viewpoints.
So, I think the Internet is more reliable.

The Power of Art
In 2011, I joined a volunteer organization in Sendai to help children. They were bored after the earthquake and tsunami. We painted the school’s walls. Though I had some worries about the project’s usefulness, I didn’t want to believe art was powerless in the face of disaster.

In 2017, I was in Mariupol, Ukraine. It was a highly dangerous location. A war was going on there. Every day, people were dying. An art project was not safe in Mariupol. But to my surprise, kids started joining me as soon as I started painting. We painted a big mitten. The concept is based on The Magic Mitten, a well-known Ukrainian tale. In the tale, an old man drops his mitten on a snowy night. Many animals climb into the mitten to stay warm. Our artwork shows how people can open up their hope and bring peaceful lives to us.

I’m still not sure how to answer the question: Who am I, as a person and as an artist? But it’s become clear that my art has the ability to make people super happy.

Curry Travels around the World

video

When we hear the word curry, we think of India. But did you know that there is no dish called curry in India?

In 1772, a British clerk brought back rice and many spices from India. Other people in the UK tried it and liked it. Then, curry gradually became popular in the UK. British curry later came to Japan.

Curry was an expensive dish in the Meiji era. Japanese people could eat eight bowls of soba for the price of one plate of curry and rice. Since then, curry has been popular in Japan. A lot of curry-based foods have appeared in Japan. Some examples are curry-udon, curry-pan, and curry-flavored snacks.

Curry was born in India. Then, people in the UK and Japan started eating it. Now, everyone in the world eats curry.
