Sure, I am Emma. Nice meeting you, Ron. How is your first day?

It is actually good. I just noticed that some people here are giving each other the cold shoulder. Why is that so?
That happens usually with co-workers when they get caught up in an argument.
Don’t worry, things will get better between them soon.

I really hope so. Maybe they just have to talk things out in order to avoid having trouble with each other.
Yes, that would be the right thing to do.

What are the things which they argue about?
Most of the time it is about their ideas and suggestions which tend to clash.

How do people in the office deal with it?

but most of the time they just opt not to meddle.

Is that so? How do you think these can be avoided?

Typhoons also occur in our country which cause flooding to low-lying areas.
How about you, what natural disasters
does your country experience?

As our country is near the seas, we sometimes experience Tsunami in places by the seashore. How does your government respond to such occurrences?
The government tries to commence relief operations for the families affected. How about you?

The same thing goes for our country and in addition, action plans are being implemented in order to prevent greater damage the next time a disaster comes.
How do you think one should react in case of a natural disaster?

I believe the first thing one should do is to put oneself together.

Without the use of any medicine or vaccines, the strategy to eliminate the Guinea worm disease has been consistent: public education. The villagers used to believe that either witchcraft or eating bad meat had caused the disease. Now, they are aware that it comes from ponds, their source of water. The villagers are also being taught how to use simple water filters. In 1986, an estimated number of 3.5 million cases of Guinea worm disease were recorded in 21 countries in Asia and Africa. The number decreased to 512 in 2012, affecting only four countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Together with the US chemical company Dupont, the Carter Center developed a cloth filter that was highly effective and could be distributed cheaply. Through filtration of drinking water using these fine clothes, the villagers were able to prevent the worms from entering the human body.
