The best method of studying a foreign language
Many people are fond of studying languages. However, it is never a piece of cake. Some people spend years studying a language but never achieved fluency.
Lydia Machova, a language mentor, revealed the secret of learning a foreign language. In her speech, she mentioned that she studies a new language every two years. A lot of people have been asking her secret about learning a language. But it is also a gray area for her. So, she would always answer them with “I simply love learning languages,” but people would never be satisfied with her answer. Because of that, it made her think about how these people who can speak two or more languages do it.
Machova met a lot of people who can speak different languages through an event where language lovers gather around. One of them was Benny from Ireland. He told her about the method which is to start speaking the language from day one. He learns phrases from travel books and goes to meet native speakers and have a conversation with them without worrying about committing mistakes. Benny also shared that he does not need to travel to have a conversation with native speakers. He can easily do it in his own house by using the internet. She had also met some people who like learning a new language by copying the sounds of the language.
Having met all these people made her realize that there is no shortcut in learning a new language. People should discover the best method that would fit their interest. Remember that the ball is in your court. While learning a new language, people should always find joy in the process.

Tear-free onion
A new kind of onion has been created by changing the chemical pattern found in onions. This new kind of onion allows people to chop it without making them cry or their eyes sting. Basically, it is a tear-free onion that is expected to be tastier and healthier as compared to the regular onions.
Tear-free onions have been tested in a laboratory by Dr. Colin Eady, a scientist from New Zealand Crop and Food Research, together with his collaborators in Japan. They said that if their research goes well, this kind of onion may become a mainstay in household kitchens within the next decades.
Although this project was never a piece of cake, the researchers were able to get through it with the help of the discovery of a Japanese scientist. The main factor to their success was by putting a chemical compound into silence. They stopped this compound from being converted to the tearing agent. Instead, they became responsible for flavor and health. However, scientists believe that this could still be improved in the long run.
This new discovery has become the number one topic of discussion at a recent seminar in the Netherlands as this has been considered one of the best things since sliced bread. Dr. Meriel Jones of Liverpool University said that it was exciting to hear Dr. Eady and his Japanese collaborators talk about their discovery. He added that this is a great development as it would give both farmers and consumers more options.

Hi, Nick. I am doing our homework for next week. Our English teacher told us to write an essay about the job we want to have in the future. Are you finished doing it?
Nick:
Yes, I am. It was easy for me because I want to work as a writer in a newspaper company. How about you? What job do you want to have in the future?
Sam:
I want to be a nurse. But I also want to be a teacher. That is why I am having a hard time doing our homework.
Nick:
I see. Both jobs are good but you should just choose one for our homework. I think you should interview a teacher and a nurse to know more about their jobs.

I think so too. I will interview our science teacher. My mother is a nurse so, I will ask her later. See you.

Hi, Sam. How was your interview with our science teacher and your mother?
