Yakushima

video

Welcome to Yakushima!

First of all, let me ask you a question. Do you know “eco-tour”? It is about sightseeing while protecting fragile nature. Let’s enjoy Yakushima, keeping this in mind.

In 1993, Yakushima was registered as Japan’s first National World Heritage Site.

Yakushima is a round island with a land area of about 500 square kilometers that is covered with green forest. More than 40 of its mountains are over 1,000 meters high.

Yakushima experiences year-round warmth and humidity. The coastline region’s average temperature is 20 degrees Celsius, whereas the central region’s average temperature is 15 degrees Celsius. Yakushima also has a high amount of rainfall, and it is said that “it rains 35 days a month”!

That’s all for the orientation. Let’s enjoy the beautiful scenery on Yakushima!

Equality for All

Equality means that everyone has an equal opportunity to do what they need in their lives.

Gender inequality is a serious problem in many countries all over the world, including Japan.

In terms of racial inequality, the fact that average African American people have less money than white people is a result of a lack of opportunity.

Equality is essential for human peace in any society.
