Curling

Curling is a sport played on ice. It began in Scotland in the 1500s and became an official sport in the Winter Olympics in 1998. Players slide large, round, flat stones across the ice. They use a broom to sweep the path of the stone on ice. Each team has four players and each player has two stones to slide. Helping Homeless People

The economy of Japan is the third largest economy in the world. They have advanced technology and efficient transport system that are known worldwide. Despite this outstanding economic condition, the country is still facing poverty issues. In 2009, there were a total of 16,000 homeless people in Japan. Because of this, the government, together with some non-governmental organizations, has been establishing projects that aim to help the people in need.
